What are we thinking about? What are we doing or want to do with our lives?

Re: What's this about?
07/10I'm the new guy here.
I think about fearless-ness. Crazy Wisdom, the way of the warrior. Compassion, integrity, wisdom, knowledge and some good humilty. Walk quietly with a big cane.
I joined the tribe because I liked what I read in regards to what a "Man's Man" is. I down to strive to those qualties.
I knew plenty on serious bad ass men growing up in South Chicago. My father being one. But, they lacked compassion, wisdom. It was false and arrogant. Like most men I see. -

Re: What's this about?
07/12Sense of humour and not taking yourself too seriously is majorly important as well.
Or do we all take a self-image and proclaim that that's what a man's man should be? -

Re: What's this about?
07/12Good question.....
I'd personally, like to have the fun - full humor & life's not so serious man - but that's not the question....
I believe your second statement sums up what society & a majority of what many think a man's man is/ should be....
Do you think the area/location in which a boy/ boy's grow up in has any effect on what type of a man you may turn out to be? -

Re: What's this about?
07/12Yes, humour is a must. I think it comes naturally when there's any kind of honesty. And I mean with yourself.
I think the area you grow up in has alot to do with what an idea of a man is. Mine has changed dramatically. As a boy, I thought you had to carry a gun(s), have served serve prision time, belong to the right affiliations, etc. I still get caught up in all that sometimes.
There are many things about loyality and respect I learned from all of that, though. Things that aren't taught in most settings anymore.
